PARENTPAY FOR BREAKFAST/AFTER SCHOOL CLUB Please accept our apologies, it is taking a little while to credit all the cash payments that parents have given for ASC and BC since the beginning of term. Please bear with us and don’t panic if your account looks like you haven’t made any payments. We are trying to get up to date as soon as possible but because there are so many different types of payment, it is taking longer than we expected. Thank you for your patience.

WATERAID The children would like to raise money for WATERAID to help buys taps and wells. They have decided to hold a cake sale and have a non-uniform day. NON-UNIFORM DAY – FRIDAY 13TH OCTOBER Children can wear blue or green clothes to reflect the water theme and bring a £1 donation. CAKE SALE – FRIDAY 20TH OCTOBER on the top playground after school. Cake donations can be sent in from Monday 16th. Only children attending After School Club, or an after school activity, or who are an independent traveller need to bring their 50p in to school. Parents collecting their children at the end of the day should pay at the stall.

Barnet will be running a free child car seat checking and advice service on Thursday 26th October from 10am to 4pm in the Family Car Park at Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

On Saturday mornings we hold Young Music Makers groups at our three music centres. These are for children from nursery classes through to year 1 or 2 (depending on the centre).
Classes aim to introduce children to the enjoyment of practical music making, and to develop musicianship skills from the earliest possible age. They will learn to sing, play percussion instruments and understand basic music notation, rhythm and pitch, alongside learning social skills such as interacting in groups, and sharing a love and enthusiasm for music.
The session times are as follows:

SCOUTING NEWS We were very lucky to be visited last week by Jack Higgins to talk to the children about Scouting. The children were very interested. Jack has sent some more information about taster sessions below.
‘We have spaces in or Cub Scout group! From star-gazing to sailing, building dens to cooking, the Cub Scouts cater for young people aged 8-10.5 years. Scouting is one of the largest national youth organisations for young people aged 6-25 and offers a range of activities to help their personal and social development. We are holding an open evening for young people and their parents on Thurdsady 12th October at 6.30 p.m. meeting at the Scout hut , Osidge Lane, N14 5DU(next to the free car park). The idea of the evening is for yound people and adults to come along and try Scouting to see what fun activities we have on offer. OPENING THE KNOLL DRIVE MAIN GATE WHEN LEAVING The front gate on Knoll Drive does not open automatically like our front door. Please press the button on the post on the right hand side just before the gate and pull the gate to open it. Sorry for any confusion!
