Join our Speak Like a Native club this Autumn – and discover a love of Spanish

Our Speak Like a Native clubs offer a fun, stress-free way of exploring a foreign language. We have clubs in 15 schools across London, with 90% of our students returning each term.  The children enjoy activities, play games and perform tasks - in Spanish. The focus is on building confidence and encouraging children to use their problem-solving skills to work out what they’re being asked to do. Most importantly the children have fun – all the while building their knowledge and love of Spanish! Our clubs are split into:

Explorers – activities and games aimed at Reception – Year 2.  We nurture and develop the children’s love of language, building their confidence.

Pathfinders – tasks and activities aimed at Years 3-6, to prepare for secondary school and life beyond.

Miss Cooper

My name is Lauren Cooper. I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher, specialising in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Ms Czuprynska

I have worked as a Teacher since 2002 and am highly experienced in developing learning in the Foundation Stage. As a person, I am a very energetic, bubbly, chatty and humorous. As a parent, I have a deeper understanding of how children develop and what expectations parents have of schools. I have also worked as a teacher in Poland, and this experience will enable me to support as well as understand children with additional language and traditions. I am incredibly proud to join the Monkfrith team and work with the children to enhance their learning journey in partnership with the parents

Mrs Bullard

Hello Monkfrith School - I am Sarah Bullard and I can’t wait to meet Year 1 children and be part of your school. I have recently qualified as a teacher but have been working in schools and education for 14 years. I will always make time for parents to talk to me about your children and I will make sure your children have a really fun time at school and find their voice. See you soon!

Miss Kontos

I have just finished my PGCE at UCL and I’m ready to start my teaching journey at Monkfrith in September. My personal interests include geography, current affairs and world culture. I think these are important topics that contribute to an encouraging and diverse classroom. I love to travel and I have spent part of my PGCE at a school in Brooklyn, New York. I have always heard fantastic things about the children and staff at Monkfrith and I’m looking forward to meeting you all and joining the team.

Miss Michaels

I am very excited to be teaching Year 3 at Monkfrith in September! I have been working at the school since January 2017 and have really loved getting to know the children at Monkfrith and becoming a part of the wonderful school community.  I am originally from Canada and have been living in London for the past 5 years. I love to keep active and am an advocate for healthy eating and physical activity, especially amongst children. In the past, I have delivered healthy eating and physical activity programmes to children and families living in the London Borough of Camden and have also taught in Canada and the UK. I am very much looking forward to September and wish you all a lovely summer break!

Mr Powell

I have been working at Monkfrith in Year 2 since September and have loved it.  I am really happy to be getting my own class next year. I have lived in Enfield for my entire life and have a degree in Sports Journalism. I love sports and have experience coaching children so this is something I'd love to get into and do more of at Monkfrith. I can't wait to get started and be a part of the Monkfrith teaching team.
