office email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
We have received the following alert today from the Safeguarding Team at Barnet:
The Police have just informed us of an incident that took place just before the Christmas break, and have asked us to circulate the following message to all schools:
There has been a recent incident where a man in an unmarked blue minibus has attempted to persuade a child to get into the vehicle. The incident took place on Church Hill Road. The man is thought to be of Asian origin with very short or shaved hair.
Please remind your child/ren not to speak to strangers and never to go with someone they don't know.
If you become aware of any further incidents, please contact the police immediately.

THURSDAY LUNCHTIME DRAMA CLUB
We have a few spaces left in this term’s drama club. It is suitable for children in Year 3 to Year 6, and our theme is Snow White Goes Wrong! There will be a performance for family and friends on Thursday 22nd March. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org / 07743 987 556 for more information or to book your child’s place.
· Please make sure that children are wearing school uniform and appropriate shoes (black with Velcro fastenings/laces)
· Please make sure that children have their PE kit in school and that their PE shoes still fit!
· Trainers are not acceptable for everyday wear
· Nail varnish is not allowed
· Jewellery is not allowed
PAYING FOR LUNCHES
Please let us know if your child will not be having a lunch, otherwise the lunch will be ordered and you will be charged. Even if your child is sent home sick, if the lunch was ordered, you will be charged. Please don’t shoot the messenger…these are the rules of the new catering company, not the school!
FREE SCHOOL MEALS APPLICATIONS
We are updating our Free School Meals register and need to have current information for any family eligible for free meals (even if your child/ren have packed lunch or receive a free meal under the Government’s Universal Free Meals for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils).
Please ask the office to send you an application form, regardless of whether you have completed one in the past, if you are eligible. If you are unsure, please request the form and we will check for you.
SNACKS AT BREAKTIME
May I remind parents of children in Key Stage 2 that the only snacks allowed at playtime are fruit or vegetables. We have never allowed cereal bars but these seem to have crept in, without me noticing, over a period of time. Please feel free to send in an apple, some grapes, a banana, some carrot sticks, cucumber etc. I will remind the children of the things they are allowed to bring in assembly on Friday. All other snacks will be sent home with children at the end of the day.
PLEASE ALSO REMEMBER WE ARE A NUT-FREE SCHOOL AND CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BRING NUTS OR PRODUCTS CONTAINING NUTS IN PACKED LUNCHES. WE HAVE SEVERAL CHILDREN WITH SEVERE NUT ALLERGIES IN SCHOOL.
