CLIMBING FRAMES/ PLAY AREAS

PLEASE NOTE: Children are not allowed on any of our play structures at the beginning or end of the day for health and safety reasons. Please keep pre-school children with you and supervised at all times when collecting your child from school.

DINNER MONEY FOR THIS HALF-TERM

If you wish to pay for the half-term the cost will be £70.95(33 days@ £2.15 per day). If your child is in 6D, please pay £60.20. (minus 5 days for the Isle of Wight trip). If you wish to pay weekly, please make sure we receive your payment, in advance, every Monday morning. We like to finish the school year with no monies owning so expect to be chased if you are behind with payments! Thank you.

SUMMER FAIR UPDATE

Dear All,

The summer fair is now less than two weeks away. We hope that you are looking forward to it as much as we are! Thank you so much to everyone who has brought things into school, volunteered to help us with the BBQ, and agreed to have an estate agents board (which will be going up shortly!). We are still needing some more help to make the fair fun and memorable for the children and community.

1. We would still appreciate donations for our raffle, cuddly toy tombola, sweets tombola and nearly new toys and games. A letter giving more details about this went out before half term and is on the website (FOMS/Upcoming events). Please take any donations to the office.

2. We are still looking for a couple more people to join the BBQ team. Please let us know if you can help at F.O.M.S@outlook.com.

3. We are holding a coffee morning this Friday (9th) and next Friday (16th) to prepare things for the fair. Please drop in if you can after drop off.

4. To make the fair run smoothly, and to make sure there is plenty of entertainment, we need your time! This week, there will be people from your children's class asking for volunteers to run a stall for an hour. Please sign up if you can! We also need contributions of cold international food dishes for our buffet, and cakes for the cake stall. All contributions will be much appreciated.

Y6LD TRIP TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT

Year 6LD had a brilliant time in the Isle of Wight before the half-term break. They visited Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, Robin Hill Country Park and had lots of fun on the beach at Sandown too. They behaved really well for the whole week and were a pleasure to spend time with. Y6D will be setting off on Sunday for the Isle of Wight and I know that they will also have a fantastic time.

Tuesday 6^th June: New Reception parents meeting (2017-18) at 6.45 p.m. in the hall. (N.B. slightly earlier start time)

Thursday 8^th June: School closed for voting for general election.

Friday 9^th June: Rainbow day for summer fair- dress as an historical figure for History Week, bring £1 for FOMS.

Sunday 11^th-Friday 16^th June: Y6D trip to the Isle of Wight

Tuesday 13^th June: Secondary Transfer/Isle of Wight meeting for Y5 parents 7.00 p.m.

Wednesday 28^th June: Y1 and Y2 sports event 9.30 a.m. Parents and families welcome. Please note change to date.

Friday 16^th June: Rainbow day for summer fair. Bring a bottle for the tombola stall (please carry any glass bottles into school for your child)

Saturday 17^th June: Summer Fair 1.00-4.00 p.m.

Monday 19^th June: Class photographs-please make sure children are wearing a school sweatshirt or cardigan.

Tuesday 20^th June: Reception Sports event 9.30 a.m. Parents and families welcome.

Tuesday 20^th June: Barnet Sports Festival at Allianz Park- team selected from Y3, 4, 5 and 6 following trials in school.

Thursday 22^nd June: Barnet Music Festival-KS2 choir to attend (lunch in school/packed tea required)

Monday 26^th June: Science and PE week
