CHANGES TO DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP FROM TOMORROW (Tuesday 28th March)

Our new crossing on Monkfrith Way is now in place and we are able to use the Monkfrith Way gate again. Unfortunately, we do not have enough staff available to be on both the Monkfrith Way gate and the Brookside South gate in the mornings. From tomorrow the Brookside gate will not be opened in the mornings but will be open for pick up in the afternoons. Children in Y1-6 should use the gate on Monkfrith Way and walk into school through the TV area door.  Reception children should enter with their parents at the EYFS gate in Knoll Drive. Children should no longer use the main visitor entrance in Knoll Drive from tomorrow.

At the end of the school day Key stage 2 children will be dismissed from the top playground in the same way they used to be and parents may wait on the Key Stage 2 playground to collect them. Y1 and Y2 parents should continue to collect their children from the Key Stage 1 playground  and Reception parents from the EYFS classrooms as they have been doing. I hope this all makes sense and thank you for your patience and flexibility!

FOOD FAIR FOR YEAR 2 PARENTS

Both Year 2 classes are excited to be showing their parents everything they have been learning about food this term.

Tuesday 28th March: 2S parents in for Food Fair 1.30 p.m.

Tuesday 28th March: 2D parents in for Food Fair 2.30 p.m.

YEAR 1C PARENTS

Apologies to IC parents who came along to last week’s assembly and missed the beginning due to an early start. A message should have gone out to inform you of the change to the start time but didn’t, so I am very sorry if you missed some of the lovely assembly. We have decided to start Key Stage 1 assemblies at 2.45 p.m. from now on, so that there is no rush to get the children back to class for home time.

LONDON MARATHON

Miss Candler will be running in the London Marathon on 23rd April to support the mental health charity MIND. Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated. Please visit her ‘Just Giving’ page to make a donation or for more information.

Thank you to those who have already donated towards our Spring Raffle, it's very much appreciated. Any donations of items or vouchers would still be gratefully received. Many thanks.

DRAMA CLUB NEXT TERM

Next term’s Drama Clubbers will be doing scenes from ‘Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone’- as I’m sure many of you know, this is a story about a young boy who finds out that not only is he is a wizard and there is a whole magical world he never knew existed, but he is famous too!  This is a well loved story that gives your children a chance to step into another world, playing fantastical characters and stretch their acting muscles at the same time!

Dates next term are as follows: 27th April to 6th July (presentation for parents on 6th July)

Fees are £60 for the 10 week course or £105 for two siblings.
To enrol your child (or ask any questions) email Jennie (
theplayingspace@me.com) with your child’s name, year group and your mobile number. She will then let you know how to make payment.

Thank you,

Gabi
