Saturday 16th June from 12-3pm - Summer Fair

Planning for the Summer Fair is underway. The Summer Fair is our biggest event of the year by far, and we would need to have support of the wider school community to make it a real success, so please get in touch!!  FOMS have agreed to match fund a £10k grant awarded to the school to pay for a new outdoor 'Sensory Trail' so the Summer Fair will be a big fundraising push to meet this goal.   The FOMS Committee have made a list of highly useful tasks/roles that would greatly help us in our planning. If you would like to get involved, please see the following list and let us know how you can help by emailing friendsofmonkfrithschool@gmail.com, or speak to your class rep.

Can you help??

- Collect Raffle prizes

- Find external stalls

- Fairground Games - hook a duck, bean bag throw, beat the goalie, others?

- Find match funding or sponsorship

- BBQ - sourcing meat, getting a BBQ, finding people to run it on the day

- Arts and Crafts

- Organise Bar

- Facepainting/tattoos/nails

- Create world cup theme, maybe football tombola?

MONKFRITH FOOTBALL TEAM UPDATE

We are delighted to announce that the school football team have won their league and are now waiting to hear who they will play against in the league final. Congratulations to all of the students, including the boys in the squad, who train each week. They would not be able to train without your commitment, so thank you.

28.03.18 – Year 4 Football Tournament – 9am – 12pm at  Friern Barnet Powerleague – we are delighted to have managed to secure two teams a place in this tournament, as this year group has a huge amount of children with an interest in football. Children have received a letter if selected. Thank you so much for your quick responses and help with transport already. Parents have been notified by text.

See our PE page for fixtures, match reports and photos.

NO BALLS ALLOWED IN THE PLAYGROUNDS AT THE END OF THE DAY

Please do not allow children to play football or other ball games in the playgrounds at the end of the school day. There are lots of parents and children around and there have been a few ‘near misses’ with footballs. Thank you.
