WALK TO SCHOOL DAY

It was great to see how many children walked to school last week on Walk to School Day.  Over 70% of the school walked, scooted or cycled.  This is the highest number we have ever had, which is fantastic!  The number was so high that we ran out of badges, so extra ones have been ordered.  Our next Walk to School Day will be on Wednesday 29th November.  To receive your badge, children will need to walk, scoot or bike to school and then make sure they record their journey on the online Traveltracker in their classrooms.  In Reception and Key Stage 1 the teachers will help.

Deputy Headteacher

The photographer will be in school on Wednesday to photograph children who were absent when photos were taken. We have 7 slots left for anyone who was not satisfied with their child’s photo that was taken recently. Please let the office know-first come first served.

PARKING

Please do not park across our neighbours’ driveways. The same person keeps doing it in the cul-de-sac part of Brookside South when collecting from the Key Stage 1 playground. Kim and Zoe are very tired of having to speak to extremely irate neighbours regarding parents’ parking.  It really does aggravate our neighbours unnecessarily, so please, please park considerately

VOUCHER PAYMENTS FOR BREAKFAST AND AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

Thank you for your patience whilst ParentPay was set up. Please could parents who pay by vouchers either email or send in a paper copy for our records. Thank you very much –Mrs Costas.

DROPPING OFF FOR BREAKFAST CLUB

Don’t forget that you have the option to park in the staff car park when dropping off for Breakfast Club and walk up the steps to the side entrance of the dining room. If you are not driving, you can still walk through the car park to BC if you wish. For parents/children who enter by the Knoll Drive door, the signing in book will be in Breakfast Club not at the Reception desk.
