MESSAGE FROM FOMS

Thank you to everyone who came to the quiz night on Friday and made it such an enjoyable event.
Thanks also to our excellent quizmaster Carolyn Hudson and her helpers Simone Roberts and Sheena Patel.
Well done to ‘Google Does It’ (yr3), the winning team, who dazzled us with their knowledge!
Thank you to those who couldn't come and sent a donation. We'll update you next week with the final amount raised.

ONE PARENT GOVERNOR POSITION

We have one position for a parent governor on the governing body and invite interested parents to fill in a nomination form and submit it to the office by the 25th November. Parent election letters and nomination forms will be emailed out today and can also be downloaded on the governor download page of the school website.

We try to ensure our governors have a broad selection of skills to maximise our effectiveness as a governing body and to fit with the strategic objectives of the school. As we expand we are particularly interested in attracting nominations from parents, who have experience in income generation or have good commercial links with the extended local community.

For more details about the role of the governing body please see the governor pages on the website or approach some of our current parent governors who will be pleased to talk to you. Alternatively, please email the Chair of Governors on monkfrithgovernors@hotmail.co.uk.

HEADLICE NEWS

There are quite a few cases of headlice cropping up at school at the moment. Please make sure that you check your child/children’s hair regularly and treat where necessary. Once the hair has been treated children can be in school.

AFTER SCHOOL/BREAKFAST CLUB

If your child attends Breakfast or After School Club on an ‘As and When’ basis, please make sure you pay for the sessions on the day-at drop off for Breakfast Club and at pick up for ASC. Thank you.

A reminder: any parents who are late more than 3 times in a half-term for pick up at After School Club may not be able to use the service for the rest of that half-term. After School Club finishes at 5.45p.m. , please make sure you are on time, don’t abuse the service!

COLLECTING YOUR CHILD AT THE END OF THE DAY

Please make sure that your child is collected promptly at the end of the day. Key Stage 1 children finish at 3.20 p.m. and Key Stage 2 children at 3.30 p.m. Any child still waiting to be collected at the office by 3.45 p.m. will be taken to the After School Club and there will be a charge on pick up. If you wish to avoid this, be on time!
