*******SUMMER FAIR THIS SATURDAY 16TH JUNE 12-3*******

We look forward to welcoming everyone this Saturday at the Summer Fair! FOMS are working hard to ensure a fun and successful event for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who came along on Friday to help kick-start the fair prep. We are having another coffee morning this Friday 15th June to further organise and prep for the fair – please come along if you can!

Stall Sign-Up Sheets went out at the end of last week. Please volunteer an hour of your time at the fair to run a stall. We are having more stalls than ever and will be grateful for your time to cover all the stalls. If you can come before the fair the help set up, or stay afterwards to tidy up, we would also be extremely appreciative.

Thank you to everyone who has donated items for us to sell at the fair. We are still low on Teddies for the Teddy Tombola and are especially low on Sweet Jars for the Sweet Tombola. These are particularly popular at the fair and always sell out, so the more sweets and teddies we have the better. Please bring them into school this week but no later than Friday morning.

Finally, FOMS would like to say a big thank you to the parents of 3C who raised money between them and have purchased FOMS a brand-new barbeque to use at the Summer Fair. We will be putting in to good use with kebabs, hamburgers and sausages at the fair, so please come along and see it in action! Thank you 3C, we are very grateful!

UPDATE FROM PCSO JUSTIN BURDA

Dear All,

Just to update you that we have had six burglaries reported already this month. I would once again recommend that you check out the detailed advice on the Met Police website at this link -

https://www.met.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/

Our main recommendation remains a burglar alarm, kept in good working order with new and clean looking alarm boxes front and back.

One other thing worth mentioning relates to the car crime offences where vehicles are stolen by using devices to amplify the signal from the victim's key fob. This signal is then used to unlocked the victim's vehicle. It was mentioned at our last Ward Panel meeting that car key signal blocker pouches can be purchased fairly cheaply and that these are designed to prevent the signal from key fob radiating beyond the pouch. If you search for these items on a internet search website there will be links to where these can be purchased.

The details of the burglaries so far this month are -

1) Brunswick Park Gardens N11: Garage door forced open and tools taken from within

2) The Homestead N11: Glass panel removed from front door near lock (attempted burglary, no entry gained)

3) Gillum Close EN4: Conservatory doors smashed open

4) The Homestead N11: Lock to shed door broken, nothing known stolen

5) Cowper Road N14: Rear patio door smashed, car stolen

6) Hampden Way N14: Rear patio door smashed

The latest burglary was the one in Hampden Way, which occurred yesterday at an address on the even / parkland side of the road. It was an unusually early burglary, happening at around 11am. The three burglars that were arrested and charged at the end of last month following a burglary in Whitehouse Way committed that burglary at around 12 noon.

Regards,

Justin
