Bikeability Training in Year 5 and 6 - July 2017

In the Summer Term we have been offered spaces for children in Year 5 and 6 to have training in safe cycling.  The sessions are done in school time, both on the playground and with trained instructors out on the road.  At the end of the week, the children will receive an award depending on the level that they reached during their sessions.  If you would be interested in this opportunity and they have or will have a bike by July, then please email the office by Friday so we can put together a provisional list. There is a limit of 25 places - with priority given to Year 6.

FOMS UPDATE

Dear All,
Letters went out in book bags last week asking for volunteers to display Estate Agent boards to advertise our summer fair. Thanks to everyone who has already returned their form.  FOMS gets money for each board displayed so please return the form if you can! You can also email us your details if that is easier on f.o.m.s.@outlook.com (we need your name, your child's name, your address and a contact number).

With thanks and best wishes,
FOMS committee

ACTIVITY STUDIO

Now we have some lovely new spaces in school, we are considering hiring these areas and are looking for some regular hirers for evenings and weekends. The activity studio would be ideal for a yoga or Pilates group. If you know anyone who is looking for a new venue, ask them to get in touch with the office and come and have a look at what we can offer. Prices will be competitive!

COMMERCIAL FILMING

A film company used our school on Saturday as a location for a commercial. It was a really interesting process and a very long day! Keep your eyes peeled for a supermarket commercial in the next few months (begins with M!) and see if you can spot our main entrance, dining room and one of our classrooms. The school benefits financially from the booking.

SECOND HAND BOOK SALE- Wednesday 10 May from 3.30 p.m.

Thanks for all the books we have received for our Book Sale on Wednesday. We would be really grateful for any donations of cakes from today. Don’t forget to come along for the sale on Wednesday at 3.30 p.m. Thanks for your support.

ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEMS

We are currently looking at online payment systems for schools such as School Money, Parentpay etc. We hope to bring in whichever system is chosen by the end of this term so it should be running smoothly by September. Hopefully many of you will find this a helpful way to send payments to us. If anyone has already had experience of a particular system and has something positive/negative to say about ease of use, please let us know. Thank you.
